A woman soccer coach, coaching girls

Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR) will host a Coach Network Forum at Blundstone Arena, Bellerive, on Wednesday 21 November 2018 from 6pm - 8pm.

The Coach Network Forum is offered free of charge and provides an opportunity for coaches of all levels across sport to meet, network and discuss current issues in the sport sector.

The speakers for this month’s Coach Network Forum are:

  • Tony Peart, Referee Manager, Football Federation Tasmania; and
  • Gerard O'Dea, Match Officials Manager, Cricket Tasmania.

About the presenters

Englishman Tony moved to Tasmania after spending the past few seasons as an official in England's second tier, the Championship, officiating games with the likes of Socceroos stars Aaron Mooy and Mile Jedinak.

Gerard has a wealth of experience in the sport sector with sailing, AFL, football and cricket over many years in Western Australia, before returning to Hobart to take up his current role with Cricket Tasmania.

Gerard and Tony will share their experiences as officials of their sport and the communication strategies used to develop and maintain effective relationships with coaches when key decisions are made and the impact they have on the game.

This will be CSR's last Coach Network Forum in Hobart this year, so don't miss out on meeting and hearing from two experienced Tasmanian officials.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided upon arrival.
