Rapid Rehousing is an initiative funded by the Tasmanian Government administered by Housing Tasmania.
It provides housing assistance to people in need including those affected by family violence, clients exiting Mental Health Services inpatient units and prisoners exiting Tasmanian Prison Services.
Rapid Rehousing provides transitional accommodation (leases up to 12 months) at subsidised rent.
The initiative is designed to assist vulnerable people to access safe and affordable housing whilst they transition to independent living.
It is a partnership between the Tasmanian Government, registered Community Housing Providers and Housing Connect.
