Stages 2 and 3 Consultation

The Department of Communities Tasmania has referred Stages 2 and 3 of the Huntingfield Land Release Project to the Department of Agriculture, Water and Environment (DAWE) due to the potential for the project to impact ‘matters of national environmental significance’ (MNES), most notably the forty-spotted pardalote.

In accordance with the requirements of a controlled action under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) section 95A(3) (EPBC 2020/8869), information is to be published for public comment on each matter protected by a provision of Part 3 of the Act: listed threatened species and ecological communities (section 18 &18 A).

Interested members of the community are invited to provide comments in writing relating to the information published or proposed action by 5:00 pm (AEST), Thursday, 17 February 2022.
