A new 26-lot subdivision is being prepared for release in Beaconsfield.
This subdivision is contributing to the Tasmanian Government’s commitment under the Affordable Housing Strategy 2015-2025, to release a total of 670 lots of land.
The subdivision at Crowther Street (between Payne and Weld Streets) will retain two lots for future social or supported housing opportunities.
The remaining 24 lots will be released for sale and available for affordable home purchase under the Tasmanian Government’s HomeShare program.
HomeShare provides assistance to Tasmanians on low incomes who want to own their own homes.
Construction of the Crowther Street subdivision is scheduled to start in the second half of 2022 once the project documentation and planning approvals are completed and contractor awarded.
Lots will be available for purchase early 2023.
