The Tasmanian Government along with the Hobart City Council will be hosting a housing connection and awareness event to be held on 13 October 2019 at City Hall, Hobart. This will be Hobart’s inaugural Housing Ends Homelessness Expo and Communities Tasmania has taken the lead role in organising this event.
The event will provide information about the range of services available to Tasmanians and their families experiencing housing stress or who may be at risk of homelessness.
With a range of organisations in one place, the event will provide a unique opportunity for individuals, groups and organisations to:
- connect with housing options based on their own needs or circumstances;
- seek information and self-educate to assist others (such as fact finding to help a family member, friend or neighbour); and
- register their interest in being part of the housing response.
This is a family friendly event with activities for kids, guest speakers, and a wide range of stalls to connect with housing options and related services.
We encourage all interested staff to attend on the day and promote amongst friends and family. More information can be found here.
