Reporting on Outcomes for Tasmanians

Tasmania’s Affordable Housing Strategy 2015-2025 sets the key outcomes to measure the success of the Government’s strategies over the 10 year period to improve housing affordability in Tasmania, which are:

A decrease in the proportion of low-income Tasmanians experiencing housing stress

A decrease in the proportion of Tasmanians experiencing homelessness

The Department of Communities Tasmania is responsible for delivery of the actions and initiatives and monitors progress against the Action Plan. Progress against targets is outlined in the Housing Dashboard and in the Quarterly Housing Reports.

Housing Dashboard

The Department of Communities Tasmania has changed the way it reports publicly to improve the clarity of information that is published.

The new report is called the Housing Dashboard and brings together indicators from the previously published Human Services Dashboard and Quarterly Housing Report and includes a range of new indicators detailing the breadth and depth of the housing services that are available.
