Gamblers Help is a suite of commissioned specialist support services that address the Focus Areas outlined in the Gambling Support Program Strategic Framework 2014-2019 through a Commissioning for Outcomes framework. The Gamblers Help suite consists of three specialist gambling support services:
- In-person support services that are offered in business hours (9am-5pm Monday to Friday)
- Telephone-based support services that are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Online support services that are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Gamblers Help - in-person gambling specialist support services include:
- Individual, family and therapeutic counselling
- Facilitated group support
- Arrangement of exclusions through the Tasmanian Gambling Exclusion Scheme
- Referrals to and from appropriate organisations, including other services within the Gamblers Help service suite
- Locally-based gambling community education
- Locally-based community capacity building

Gamblers Helpline - telephone-based gambling specialist support services include:
- ‘Gamblers Helpline Tasmania’ seven days a week, 24 hours a day information, therapeutic counselling and referral service
- Referrals to and from appropriate organisations, including other services within the Gamblers Help service suite
- With appropriate consent, follow up services for clients (e.g. callbacks, SMS follow-ups).

Outcome of the Request for Grant Proposal (RFGP) Process
A RFGP process, which closed on Monday 4 March 2019, was conducted to appoint providers to deliver the in-person and phone based specialist support services for Tasmanians affected by gambling from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2023.
The successful organisations are :
- In-Person Support service – Anglicare Tasmania
- Phone Based Support service – Turning Point, Eastern Health
The Gambling Help Online support service is a Nationally managed service through a Memorandum of Understanding between all Australian States and Territories. The current service provider is Turning Point, Eastern Health.
