All of the functions of the former Department of Communities Tasmania have transitioned to other areas of the State Service.
Sport and Recreation, Sport and Recreation Infrastructure and the Tasmanian Institute of Sport have moved to the Department of State Growth.
The Community Development component of Communities, Sport and Recreation has moved to the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC).
