Developing a program to prevent harmful sexual behaviour for children and young people

Every child deserves to live their life free of the threat of family and sexual violence, whether it be from their home or their community.

As part of the $26 million Family and Sexual Violence Action Plan – Safe Homes, Families, Communities the Tasmanian Government has committed to deliver a new state-wide program to respond to children and young people under 18 years who display harmful sexual behaviour.

The program will address a service system gap identified as a priority need by stakeholders and the community. The Tasmanian Government will work with key stakeholders and the community to design a suitable service.

consultation paper has been developed and feedback is invited from all interested stakeholders until 22 December 2019.
