All of Communities Tasmania’s functions are transitioning to other parts of the State Service in a staged approach between July and October this year.

Sport and Recreation, Sport and Recreation Infrastructure and the Tasmanian Institute of Sport have now moved to the Department of State Growth.

A number of other programs delivered by the division of Communities, Sport and Recreation moved to the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC) from 1 August 2022, with the remaining programs expected to move to DPAC from 1 October 2022.
