The Department of Communities Tasmania invites submissions to a Request for Grant Proposals (RFGP) process to identify suitably qualified organisations to deliver support under a refined Intensive Family Engagement Service (IFES) model in a child safety setting.

Since December 2017 a trial of IFES has been delivered in Tasmania on behalf of Communities Tasmania by four providers to families identified by Children and Youth Services (CYS) as requiring intensive family support services to increase the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people in their care. Funding agreements supporting the current service delivery end on 30 September 2020.

An extensive review of the trial of IFES has produced a refined service model. This refined model will form the basis of Respondent’s submissions to this RFGP process. Funding agreements produced from this process will have access to approximately $2.6 million in funding to support service delivery from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021, with a two year extension option at the discretion of Communities Tasmania.
