The Department of Communities Tasmania has adopted the whole of government gifts, benefits and hospitality policy. A copy of the policy can be found at the Department of Premier and Cabinet website:
Under the policy, the Head of Agency is to ensure that the agency maintains an appropriate Gift Register to record declarations by employees. The policy states that all declarations of gifts, benefits or hospitality to the value of $100 or greater, or a declaration of token mementos and modest refreshments (reaching the annual threshold of $100 from a single supplier that have been recorded in the agency's Gift Register in a financial year) must be published in the Agency's Annual Report for that financial year, or on the Agency's website within four months of the end of that financial year. The provision of gifts, benefits or hospitality by agency staff must also be recorded and published in the same way.
The registers below show gifts, benefits and hospitality and their value that have been accepted or provided by the Department of Communities Tasmania employees from 1 July 2018 to the end of the most recent quarter, in accordance with the policy.
The register will be updated on a quarterly basis.
